Privacy

YAMH keeps as little about you as it possibly can. This page tells you exactly what that is.

If You Write A Thank-You

We keep what you choose to put on the card: the name you thank, who they are, the state, your words, and how you sign it. That is what appears on the site. We do not ask for your name, your email, or an account, and we do not keep them.

To stop the site being flooded, we keep a scrambled record of the connection a thank-you came from for one hour, and then it is gone. It cannot be turned back into your address.

If You Ask Us To Send It

If you give us the email of the person you are thanking, it is used for one thing only: sending them one letter with your thank-you. It is never shown to anyone, never shared, never used for anything else, and it is deleted the moment the letter has been sent. To make sure nobody is flooded, we keep a one-way fingerprint of the address for a week, which cannot be turned back into the email.

If Someone Sent A Thank-You To You

Every letter carries a link that says you would rather not receive these. If you press it, we keep a one-way fingerprint of your address so that no letter from YAMH ever reaches you again. We never learn or keep the address itself from that fingerprint.

What We Never Do

We do not sell or share anything about anyone. We do not show advertising. We do not track you across other sites. YAMH sets no cookies for people reading or writing thank-yous.

The Services We Use

The site is hosted by Hostinger. Letters are sent through Postmark. Our lettering is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google for the fonts when the page opens.

Your Information, Your Say

YAMH follows the Australian Privacy Principles. If you would like to ask about anything we hold, or have it removed, write to thankyou@yamh.com.au or to PO Box 3103, Newport VIC 3015, and you will hear back.
